Fear and Loathing in WA -- Election 2004

It is difficult to write too much about this election: it is the meanest, most emotional, most important one in my life. I fear a Kerry presidency for the following reasons:
  1. John Kerry, in my mind, is a pathological opportunist (from his Vietnam Days to his marriage choices) who will say anything, do anything, not matter how tasteless and dangerous to get elected.
  2. If Kerry wins, it will reinforce the conviction of the Michael Moore's in this world that baseless character assasination works and that most of humanity can be controlled by media manipulation.
  3. The terrorists will know that Kerry is a person who can be spun around if they blow their propaganda around hard enough.
  4. Our allies will not feel supported- just look at what Kerry said after the Allawi speech and what his younger sister has been doing in Australia.
  5. We will live in a no man's land of no conviction, no moral clarity -- the very thing we need to defeat the monsters who kill children as a side note to their cause.

May God help us!

Ann Coulter is just too good

If you are not familiar with her, it may take a while to get used to Ann Coulter's style of argument; however I now think highly of her perspective and her articles on John Kerry and the Swift Boat Vets are right on the mark. The mainstream press is so prejudiced that they are blind to their own collaboration with the Kerry camp -- or perhaps they are all too willing accomplices.

The Hate Bush crowd just doesn't get the War on Terror.

I watched the reaction to Zell Miller's speech at the Republican convention and the pundits were all analyzing Zell's anger towards John Kerry, wondering if it was over the top. Of course most of these 'experts' missed the guts of what Zell Miller was communicating. They just do not get the gravity of the danger that a Kerry presidency poses to our lives in this great country of ours. They just don't understand that the hatred the Democrats and their proxies (such as Michael Moore and George Soros) direct towards President Bush is poisoning and radically weakening our country and that ultimately might yield catastrophic results which we will all (or mostly all) regret and mourn for some time to come. Zell Miller was not saying that Kerry is not patriotic or that he is ill-meaning (although I personally do have very serious doubts) but that his judgement, actions, and tactics over the years have crossed the line into demonstrating a reckless misunderstanding of the catastrophic danger that our country has faced and faces now. Zell said simply, 'Enough of this irresponsibility; I want no part in it any more and will stick up for George Bush and his presidency because he really gets it and this ultimately will save the lives of my family and friends -- and the well-being of the country." This is not hard to understand; you just have to be willing to have it connect inside your guts.
